Efflorescence

Efflorescence explores a liminal terrain where the Earth’s hidden matter rises to the surface, revealing itself through crystalline formations, subtle reflections and shifting chromatic fields. Through the lens, salt becomes both subject and medium, a threshold where landscape dissolves into abstraction.

Soft hues of pink, blue, and mineral tones emerge and recede, while traces of the underlying ground surface in fragments, creating a delicate tension between what is revealed and what remains concealed. Reflections of trees, structures, and vegetation drift across these planes, destabilising scale and orientation.

In this suspended space, the familiar transforms into something ambiguous and dreamlike. The series invites the viewer to reconsider perception, entering a quiet dialogue between surface and depth, presence and absence, where the visible becomes uncertain, and the unseen quietly takes form.
